Based on Maarten’s adaptation of the solo play rules for The Men Who Would Be Kings (TMWWBK) and developed through some discussions with the members of the Amsterdam 6 Shooters club, this skirmish campaign is meant for cooperative play and specifically tailored for use with the automated opponent found within TMWWBK rulebook. This campaign is the second instalment of our A6S campaign system, once again situated in Central Africa during the colonial period. It focuses on the actions of the Franco-Bagirmi alliance as they endeavour to overcome the armies led by Shehu Rabih Fadlallah at the end of the 19th century.
This is Session 0, where everyone will be able to get together to familiarise themselves with the rules, learn about this specific campaign, and create the characters who will lead their forces throughout the campaign. We’ll go over the rules together, introduce the campaign setting a bit, and play our first battle (this can be part of the campaign or a standalone scenario). If you can’t make it, don’t worry!! Players are welcome to join whenever they’re able and all campaign information, rules, and updates will be shared so no one misses out.
