How to paint Glaurio Ven Alten III
Undercoat your model with Black undercoat spray.
Paint the trousers with a couple of watered down coats of Squig Orange.
Using Kantor Blue paint wide highlights on the boots, gloves and belt.
Paint thin edge highlights on the boots, gloves and belt using Hoeth Blue. I find mixing water makes the paint flow from the bristles easier and I can paint thinner lines.
Add a touch of Lahmian Medium to Ironbreaker and paint two coats of this over the shoulder pad, overcoat panels and pistol.
Paint the coat and ropes across the chest with Khorne Red.
Wash the entire miniature with Basilicanum Grey. If it pools into specific areas wick it away with another brush.
Paint the sash, fur trim, mirror and body of the pistol with Corax White and a touch of water. This paint can be lumpy so use an old knackered brush to mix the paint in the pot.
Paint the fur trim with Screaming Skull.
Paint the sash with Yriel Yellow.
Wash the sash with Iyanden Yellow.
Wash the fur trim with Skeleton Horde.
Paint the ornamental parts of the scabbard, pistol, sword hilt, jacket badge, jacket buttons, finger rings and raised iconography on the shoulder pad with Liberator Gold.
Wash all the previous layer with Aggaros Dunes.
Paint the face with Cadian Fleshtone.
Create a mix of 50:50 Bugman’s Glow with Lahmian Medium and wash the face.
Highlight the skin areas with Kislev Flesh leaving some of the previous shading showing through in the creases.
Wash the white pistol body and mirror with Apothecary White.
Paint the eyes with Abaddon Black. .
Highlight the pistol body and mirror with Pallid Wych Flesh. Ad white dots to the eyes.
Apply a wide highlight of Eshin Grey to the scabbard, right elbow. Apply thin highlights to the beard and hair.
Apply thin edge highlights of Stormvermin Fur to the previous step.
Paint the coat with Mephiston Red leaving some of the previous layers showing through. Apply some the lines of Mephiston Red to the ropes.
Apply thin highlights of Ratskin Flesh to the orange trousers.
Apply thin highlights of Flash Gitz Yellow to the sash.
Highlight the fur trim with Ushabti Bone.
Highlight all the gold and metal areas with Runefang Steel. Paint the mirror glass with Runefang Steel.
The sand is painted with Dryad Bark, drybrushed with Steel Legion and then final drybrushed with Karak Stone.
